The League of Planets is an alien organization dedicated to peace between worlds. They have come to operate Tomorrowland's star-port Space Station 77. They would also appear at the Tomorrowland Interplanetary Convention Center, where they were scheduled to hold an interstellar debate on their mission to Mars.

This tournament is unique, in that it's fans who decide the winner - not the teams. Each club's fans score points for their team by completing activities that reduce their carbon footprint, and the club whose fans take the most action wins the Planet League Cup.

Thousands of grassroots football clubs have joined the competition, while hundreds of schools have been encouraged to get involved. The campaign is supported by 12 County FAs, with free classroom materials made available to primary and secondary schools.

Fleetwood Town Community Trust are working with Planet League to help use football to inspire people to make small changes to their lives which will reduce their impact on the environment. Each week the Planet League website highlights a theme, and the club whose supporters complete the most actions in that area will score more goals.

In addition, fans can compete Planet liga against other clubs across the country by taking part in the Planet League Cup, which runs for five weeks each season. There are 71 clubs competing for the trophy, including Manchester United Foundation, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Liverpool Foundation and Newcastle United Foundation.

Each team is represented by a player and a captain, who both receive a set of objectives to complete throughout the tournament. The objectives are related to the themes each week, and each player can earn up to three stars for completing them. The player with the most stars is declared the Planet League champion and will be awarded a prize, which is usually a holiday in the UK.

The Planet Puzzle League is a multiplayer game where players play as a team in a virtual stadium on the PlayStation 3. Identical-sized square blocks (panels) of various colors are stacked in two dimensions, with each panel aligning according to an invisible grid. The blocks can be moved by the player, and they can also rotate in a circle around the player.
